How I work
Four things I try to keep in mind.
Numbers, then narrative.
Start with the metric that has to move. Build the story around it. Anything else is theater.
Ship to learn.
Most plans are too clever. The fastest way through ambiguity is something real in front of customers.
Strategy is sequencing.
Most teams don't suffer from a lack of ideas. They suffer from doing them in the wrong order.
Technical depth pays compound interest.
Reading the diff, drawing the data model, scoping the integration honestly. All of it pays back tenfold every quarter.
